Coworking as a crisis-proof work model

Kurier: Home workers are increasingly fleeing to co-working spaces. How collective offices are faring in times of social distancing.

For some years now, more and more co-working spaces have also been springing up in Austria's rural areas. "Co-working fulfills an important location factor. If there are such offers, we can keep start-ups and innovative companies in the rural regions," explains Wolfgang Schwärzler, Managing Director of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce in an interview with KURIER.


With the outbreak of the 2020 pandemic, many office workers were sent to the home office. In the co-working spaces, however, mainly those work who always have home offices anyway and flee from this stimuli-free environment into co-working.
